DESCRIPTION:Thanks for the Music – Concert Cancelled\nAs Broadway has gone dark\, so has Exsultet! \n\nWith the global emphasis on containing the Coronavirus Disease (aka COVID-19)\, we are doing our part to keep everyone in our local communities healthy. This means that we will not be preparing a spring concert this year.  We will miss the camaraderie of weekly rehearsals and the joy of performing for our audience. We look forward to performing for you again in the fall/winter timeframe. Please take the warnings seriously and do what you can to slow the spread of this virus. Thankfully\, although our ability to enjoy live performances has been temporarily diminished\, we are still able to enjoy music in plenty of other ways. We hope you will all keep singing!

The audition will be done as one large group on Wednesday\, September 11\, 2019\, from 6:30-7:30 at First Congregational Church\, 725 Washington Street in Holliston. We will also hold open rehearsals/auditions on Wednesdays September 18 and 25. Interested singers must be between the ages of 9-15\, be able to sing in tune\, and have a positive attitude.\n \nRehearsals begin Wednesday\, September 4\, 2019 from 6:30-7:30 at the FCC in Holliston. The choir is based in Holliston but serves all surrounding towns including Bellingham\, Milford\, Medway\, Millis\, Ashland\, Hopkinton\, and Sherborn. Jubilate is not affiliated with any school or religion but is an offshoot of the professional women’s choir Exsultet.  \nJubilate and Exsultet will perform together on Saturday\, December 14 at the Allin Congregational Church in Dedham and again on Saturday\, May 16\, 2020 at the First Congregational Church in Holliston. Skills such as singing beautifully with a group and reading music will be learned gradually throughout rehearsals on Wednesday nights. Singers are asked to come with water and a willingness to work together. Further information will be provided at the audition. Jubilate will be directed for its 3rd season by Chrissy Petersen\, elementary music teacher in the Holliston Public Schools.
